Let's not overestimate Golston and Montgomery just yet. Golston had some good moments, but he's got his fair share of cleatmarks on his chest too. Let's face it, this line got trampled last year. Golston and Montgomery are backups at best -- they're not 16-game starters. Griffin's only got a season or two left, and Salave'a plays on one foot most of the year.
Make no mistake, defensive tackle
has to be addressed this year. Branch is said to be the best player at the #6 spot, assuming nobody's picked him up before us. It all starts up front, and we have NO ONE who can tie up blockers and be a consistent penetrating force at the line of scrimmage.
We can't pass up on Branch anymore than we could have passed up Sean Taylor in '04.
