Yeah. From my experience, it takes at least 15 minutes for the tranny fluid to warm up -- and that is when you are driving. Without driving, it could probably take over 30 minutes.
You could look into an engine block heater. It heats the engine block -- not the tranny -- but it may help. I don't know for sure.
