I think this move is only surprising to some of us because he's a guy whose mouth has far surpassed his level of talent.

I agree with dmek that Porter can still play, but he's expendable.

I haven't spent a whole bunch of time exploring the Steelers' defensive options, but Mike Tomlin really seems like he knows what he's doing.
