The boys let him go cause the Tuna is impatient w/kickers, a flaw of his coaching that deserves a lot more scrutiny that he's ever gotten. i think vandy was more on JJ than parcells...
as far as "the Latino dude" - jose cortez, who also kicked (terribly) for us under spurrier. he escaped a civil war - great story; crappy kicker. I laughed soo hard when i heard about that signing... of course, the redskins weren't exactly burning it up either :/.
