first, we didn't get rid of him, he got away with a contract that was front loaded.
second, what move was there to make at D-line? kerney was the closest thing to a game changer, and he's 30 and coming off a bad year. We have lots of 30+ DLinemen, and the right move is getting a young guy that could be good and stay around a while. that's what the draft and that #6 pick are for.
