This is kind of tricky from a human nature standpoint. If you frontload a players deal and he ends up outperforming that deal, and then he sees his pay
cut the next year as a trade off for front loading the deal, he's going to feel like he's getting the shaft. Sure he signed his deal in good faith, but if there wasn't a human factor in it, holdouts wouldn't exist.
