Re: Next Year's Cap Situation

We currently have 9.7mil in spending room. I think that we should cut daniels, wynn, and collins, none of them contribute much and all are double digit vets with significantly large contracts. Those cuts would free up about 5.6mil. If we are able to trade down then we should add about 3 mil for the draft picks. We should sign a blocking tight end for about 1 mil, and a gaurd for about 2 mil. I think that we should sign a bum 3rd QB like Bramlett that we can sign for next to nothing because they never play. We should sign a punter for about a mil. With taking off about half a mil towards the cap for players that will be bumped off for these new signings, and taking into account the 51player rule, we should still have about 10.3mil left to spend. At this point we already have a complete team, and can free up alot of cap room through cutting players. I would love trade for Bly, but I dont see that happening because of the two CB signings we made. The only player I would with out a doubt cut is David Patten, he does absolutely nothing and is an 11 year vet, I can see both Lloyd and Arch contributing significantly more than they did last year, so although I wouldnt mind cutting them I also wouldnt mind not cutting them.
