Schemes can help hide weaknesses and promote strengths, but it wont turn a top 10 safety into a worthless player. An injury can.
Many league figures believe that Arch was banged up pretty bad at the conclusion of 2005, so I'm guessing our medical staff ran a physical on him, but didn't find what was so wrong with his back that it hurt his ability to run and tackle.
The Fins made a similar mistake with Culpepper, but the differerence was that they didn't invest the house into that one.
