But why does Chicago make this deal? Wasn't it clear that we were going to release AA? Were they SO worried that someone else was going to snatch him up? Once he hits the market, his price gets jacked. It's exactly the reason they missed on him last year.
They probably would have gotten him anyway, but would have had to bid for him.
