Yeah but dropping 26 spots in the first round would be worth at least an additional two draft picks. Plus it is one of the few positions at which we have reasonable depth. It just makes no sense to do this deal. Briggs was a third round draft pick who excelled in a well designed system, playing besides some of the best defensive players in the league. There is no question he is great, but even if he maintains his level of success with us, we already have guys at that position who can play. Why not use the draft to address our needs and add some depth?
