These championships are testaments to a man who can build and lead a team (with not necessarily the best talent) to victory.
The dynamics of building an NFL team have changed greatly since JG's first run, (salary cap) and the mess the Skins were in can't be fixed overnight (ownership change, coaching changes, Free Agent mistakes by the Daniel). But those of us who remember the 80s firsthand will have optimism as long as JG is here.

P.S. If ESPN sacked Joey T. from MNF, why the hell do they still let Pastabelly spew his crap, the guy is a fat, pompus idiot.

Circumastances can dictate what makes a great leader, kind of like how an offensive line can affect a RB, a great offensive line can make a good back look great, and a bad offensive line can make a great back look orginary, but every once in a while a great back is so good he will make his yards no matter what. What we have with Gibbs could very well be a solid coach who was made great by the talent that Bobby Beathard supplied him with in the 80's, the fact is he's going on his 4th year and we are no closer to a championship than when he arrived, we are not a team ready to make that next step we have holes all over the place and now we are focusing on a LB? Gibbs will be in the not rebuilding mode for as long as he's running things, and so long as he's running things we will need to rebuild.

The only thing I can take from the 80's is what Gibbs had then and no longer has now, Bobby Beathard! No longer can Gibbs take the field and do whatever he wants because his offensive line would make anything work, so if Gibbs hasen't lost it as a coach, maybe he was never as good as we thought, because as of right now if he didn't have the credentials he has coming in he would have been fired after the first season, and if he made it this far some how he would be the absolute laughing stock of the NFL, as well as this board with the way he's conducted his personel decisions. And he's working over time to screw it up again, as I said before the dog alway's returns to his vomit, and he will find a way to screw up this draft even with only one legitamate pick.
