It seems like people in that business for an extended period of time, tend to want to stay in that business. If you enjoyed your owners and restaurant, I'd be leary of moving, but understand the part about family and friends. Without family and friends, what do you have?

My girlfriend of 4 years and I are moving back to the DC (Gaithersburg, MD) area in July. That's where all my closest friends and family live. My best friend is branch manager of a mortgage broking company, and I'll be working with him. It's a new industry to me, so I'm looking forward to the challenge. My girlfriend is a personal trainer, and she will be starting her Master's degree at George Mason in August. Should be good times.
