Rogers is not where he should be considering he was the 9th overall pick. But maybe he never should have been that in the first place. Not really a debate I want to get into, just saying maybe he's just a really good #2 or even nickel back but not the shut down corner we'd expect from someone drafted so high. But, is it his fault he got drafted that high?

I think when it comes to development, we all got spoiled by how quickly Champ developed into a top notch CB. Rogers is only through two seasons, and guess what, he's not Champ Bailey. Maybe it's just taking more time for him to develop. He could still be a top flight CB in this league.
Last year he did get burned his fair share and dropped INTs. I'm not making excuses for that. But he also did have to cover for other deficiencies in the secondary. Let's see what he can do in GW's adusted scheme.
Besides, getting rid of Rogers makes no sense from a cap standpoint. Might as well let him show what he can do this season.
