I agree with you dmek, sort of. Height may be the most overrated characteristic in a receiver. Since a majority of a guy's value comes from after the catch play, being big and slow doesn't make you a very valuable target. Pretty much any receiver worth his salt can run to the sticks, and make a third down catch in traffic. Cooley does this better than maybe any TE in the league and Moss does it pretty well also.

However, saying we have 3 legitmate NFL starting receivers is only correct if its true for all teams. Every team in the league has at least two recievers as good as Antwaan Randle El. Does that mean we need more help at WR? Not really. We have Moss and Cooley and some very talented pass catching backs. We have enough weapons presuming we don't overvalue Randle El and Lloyd and have our offense suffer because of it. They are NFL caliber targets who can catch a pass if the playcall gets them open. But they should not be the focus of our offense when we have talent like Moss, Cooley, Betts, and Portis around.

I think you are guilty of undervaluing our role players just a tad, but I completely agree that we have everything we need for the passing game to be successful. If the guys we have now can't get into the top ten, it's time to start looking at the line, and the playcalling.
