I totally agree with your statement and I also find dog-fighting repulsive, but that alone is not why it is illegal and a felony. Google "pit bull mauls child" and in and amongst the 17,100 hits you will find out why this activity is illegal and why so many communities are moving to ban pits/rotties/dobermans etc.
