I only really care about class in so much as it relates to winning. I'll take a pack of thugs and Lombardi trophy over some 5-11 choirboys. So while I of course support bringing in character guys, I think that should be a strategic decision and nothing more.

But I think you need balance. I think if you look at the teams that have been most succesful recently - the Patriots, Steelers, and even the Colts to an extent - they have all had some basketcases but a solid enough group of leaders to keep them in check. You don't want anyone bringing shame to your franchise, but you need some wild guys to fire everyone up. I think we negotiated that perfectly in the 80`s.
