When we make plaintiffs bear the cost of both parties when they lose, instead of just their own.
Alienation of affection cases are typically about revenge, but every now and then there are cases that are legit. Those are pretty rare though. I once sat in on a case where the wife was pretty much left destitute because her asshole husband left her for a skank and then tried to hide all the money in the skank's name. The wife only wanted what was rightfully hers, so she had no choice but to sue.
