The Mason Dixon line is bullshit. It was a survey by the British to determine which nobles owned which land. It was later perceived falsly by Americans as the Boundary between the north an the south (later to be proven wrong) Maryland was not a confederate state and neither was West Virginia (both below the line). Not to revisit the past, but if I were to fight in the Civil War today I would be with the Union and not with the confederacy. I think that it is funny how people can try to classify what is in your heart by placing a boundary on the ground.
