I saw the first HP movie and thought it was fun, but nothing great. I really enjoyed Prisoner of Azkaban though. And, from what I understand, the movies don't do the books justice

I don't think I read enough of the book to form a negative opinion. You know what I mean? I simply lost interest and cut my losses. It's just that it didn't suck me in like people seem to gotten sucked in. If you ask me I blame the whole Potter fiasco on Oprah. I particularly find adults camping out to get their hands on the books, not for their kids but for themselves, frightening.
Perhaps people who have read the books can enlighten me...WTF is so unique about it? New? Interesting?
It's actually fashionable and cool to find the movie breathtaking and a masterpiece. I think I'm gonna start a social experiment and start trashing the books and the movies just to see how they react. You know, just whale on it during happy hour tomorrow
