Re: What's worse? Dogfighting or NBA game fixing?

Tough one to answer. Morally they are both horrible, but with what light has been recently shed on the brutality of dog fighting, I have to give that one a nod. In terms of an NBA ref fixing games and on the take? Geez, give me a break! Did you see the SA/Phoenix series? NBA is corrupt and uses its refs to help get the results it prefers. I strongly suspect the NFL is that way also Only way this is not the case is if a majority of NBA/NFL refs are fixing games on their own. Want honest officating? Create some type of independent officiating organization seperate from the leagues, make them full time and professional with decent salaries so they don't have to fix games. A lot to ask for maybe, but it is just a thought. Since the refs are paid employees of the leagues, who is to say the leagues will not tamper with their decisions on the field/court/rink/diamond/pitch?
