He had ample opportunity to make a play on the ball in one-on-one coverage. The idea there is, if you can't catch it, you don't let the defense catch it either. I was about 35-49 yds. away from that play, and I witnessed the same thing you did. I don't know how it looked to TV viewers, but being there, it was plain to see he could have done a much better job on the play.
