This is true, but I don't think thats a defense of Lloyd. If anything, this is one of the biggest criticisms against him.
If we brought him in with the idea that he wouldn't improve his production at all, the guy who made that move needs to be fired. It makes sense that we brought him in expecting him to break out, and got exactly what we had seen in SF. Still a bad move, but at least the intent was in the right place.
