In thinking more about this situation, I think we should keep Thomas on the roster (assuming he has successful surgery and can return in 10 or 12 weeks), cut Bodiford, and sign another guard for depth.
I thought the Redskins were being overly hopeful about him returning, but apparently after the surgery he will be near 100% once the healing process is finished.

The problem with this is that teams with a lot of money (say, us) could use a temporary spot to circumvent the salary cap.
From what I understand of Thomas' injury, he was undergoing surgery
today. I think Schefter's timetable is wildly irresponsible considering he hasn't been opened up. I certainly
hope it will be 10-12 weeks, but Greg Oden thought he was getting scoped earlier this week, too.
