I have no arguement with the defense, to surrender only 5 TD's in 5 games is outstanding.

You wanna know why the defense was SO dominating against the Lions? That huge number your offense put on the board.

The way the offense played against Detroit enabled the defense to play RELAXED in the second half and just MAKE PLAYS. I'll go even further and say that the defense was just plain HAVING FUN playing football!

But when the score is so close in the second half, defenses take fewer risks and lack agressiveness. A short lead puts added pressure on the defense to keep the team in the game, they take fewer aggresive risks on plays. It is like they are playing "not to lose" instead of "playing to win".

Not blaming the defense here, not at all. But the offense needs to be more consistent to take some of that pressure off of the defense.
