RBs against Skins in 2007:

1-R. Brown 32 yds, 2.9 ypc/J. Chatman 15 yds, 2.1 ypc
2-B. Westbrook 96 yds, 5.6 ypc (long of 27 yds)
3-D. Ward 94 yds (26 rushes), 3.6 ypc/Droughns 3 yds, 1.0 ypc
4-BYE
5-DET: K. Jones 48 yds, 4.4 ypc/T. Bell 15 yds, 3.8 ypc
6-GB: D. Wynn 37 yds, 2.8 ypc/V. Morency 11 yds, 2.8 ypc
7-ARI: E. James 83 yds (27 rushes), 3.1 ypc

I was curious.

So no RB has hit 100 yards yet this year. Brian Westbrook was closest with 96 yards, helped by a 27 yard-run.

The Skins allow an average of 80.7 rushing yards a game, 5th best in the NFL. For comparison's sake, the Patriots give up 92.7 a game.

If Maroney plays, he might have a slow day. If they have to rely on Faulk and Evans, they should just keep 5 WRs in all game. The Skins do have 8 INTs this year, near the top of the league (leaders have 10 but some didn't have bye week yet). 2 went back for TDs (tops in NFL)

They'll have to beat us through the air, which they're certainly capable of, but it will be the biggest test to the Pats so far this season. They haven't really played a good pass D yet, even the Cowboys are middle-of-the-league against the pass, not very good.

Our secondary is great. Our whole D is actually, now ranked #5 in the NFL, we were #3 last week. We're still ranked #1 in the NFC.

Sure I'm nervous, but because of our D, we have the best chance of anyone so far to beat the Patriots, or even play them close.
