Daseal,

I have seen you rely on this argument several times before and assert that, somehow, this caused him to go into Gibbs' doghouse and that we on the Warpath turned on him because of it.

With all due respect, I think you are just wrong about it. About the same time he did that, the article (which I can't remember now) came out that everyone in the clubhouse hated the guy, that he had done stuff to piss everybody off and that he just was gonna do his own thing no matter what the coaches said. I never had heard of the hat until you brought it up (several times) but I, and several others, had read and commented on the article.

Yes, he came in talking all the right stuff publicly and got everybody fired up. Including me - I ate that stuff up. Throw in his highlight reel and he looked like the next incarnation of Gary Clark. Unfortunately, it turned out that, although he talked the talk, he didn't walk the walk.

Does he get open? Maybe. However, if you were the QB and he quit on half the routes he ran - would you a) trust he was gonna be where he was supposed to be and risk the pick if he wasn't? b) spend a precious half second looking for him with guys bearing down on you? My answer to both would be no. If I can't count on him to be where he is supposed to be, when he is supposed to be there, then he is a desparation option in my progressions nothing more.

Don't give me the crap about not having a chance. Golston, Alexander, Yoder - these guys had less opportunity than Lloyd and yet, somehow, have made bigger impacts.
