This really brings things into perspective...
This was a guy, not even to the prime of his career, gearing up to have what would have probably been a Hall of Fame career. He had his troubles in the past, but it really seems he was turning it around, like he was given another chance. He was also clearly on his way to another Pro Bowl this year...
For a vast majority of us, we never got to meet Sean Taylor in person...yet it feels like we just lost a close family member, because each Sunday from September to January, he was a part of our lives. Whether we are sitting in our living rooms, down at the local pub, or in FedEx Field, we always kept our eyes on #21.
I wasn't sure I wanted to comment, but I'm glad I did. Thank you Sean for everything you've given us fans, as your loss is truly a sad one.
I'll raise my coffee mug in honor of a fallen comrade...and this Sunday, I'll be there, front and center to pay my respects to a hero to us all.
