That's kind of the point. The body does not regenerate knee cartilage, therefore, over the past 2 years, Lavar's condition could not in any way have significantly improved itself. Especially considering the fact that he has been nursing *other* injuries (Achilles, broken bones, obesity, etc). He's done.

I really don't know why some people have such a love affair with Lavar. He was a good player for a few years. He was a bright spot on some bad teams. He played without fear, and his body is now paying for it. He's probably a good, likable guy off the field, but there has been absolutely nothing reported that could lead any logical person to believe he can become a force again. You're right, anything is possible, but the evidence just isn't leading us to that conclusion at this point.
