Why would you erase your hard drive with a demagnetizer? Just blow away the partition and reinstall your OS. I was asking for a guy at work, his sons computer has a lot of junk and viriuses and he asked me if he could just de-mag his hard drive, or would he loose the OS? I didn't know what would happen so I posted it on here. I talked to him today and he said that he is just going to re-format the hard drive and re-install everything...
