I work for a broker dealer in the investment management business. And yes my company makes questionable hires from time to time...and they are not scrutinized publicly like at ESPN. I may have phrased what i meant poorly...I did not mean to imply that you should shake your head at ESPN in general. I just don't understand how anyone can listen to Emmit Smith talk and think he would make a good on camera NFL hire? I would personally shake my head at that decision and blame the person who hired him because anyone can see after listening to him for 20 seconds that he is not suited for that line of work.
