Employee of the month had it's moments but I thought overall it was OK. Dane Cook is good actor, he's not great, but how many standup's are? He is in a small group of stand up comedians that became good actors.

I think lots of stand up comedians are good actors. Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock (Sort of, he has his moments), Eddie Murphy, Bill Cosby. If you're a good comedian I highly doubt the transition from comedian to actor is a very difficult thing.
I'm sure there are more, I'm just throwing names off the top of my head.
