ESPNews reports New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin signed a four-year extension worth $21 million Friday, March 7. Coughlin will earn around $5.25 million annually, according to a person with knowledge of the deal. The new contract is a $2 million increase over last season and what he would have earned this season.

Mike O'Hara, of The Detroit News, reports the Philadelphia Eagles are interested in acquiring Detroit Lions WR Roy Williams via trade. The Eagles have mentioned sending CB Lito Sheppard to the Lions for Williams.

Mike O'Hara, of The Detroit News, reports the Detroit Lions are not shopping WR Roy Williams in trade talks. Lions team president Matt Millen said Friday, March 7, that the team has received trade proposals from other teams but the Lions are not shopping Williams' services or actively pursuing any trade talks. "I'll listen to any offer," Millen said. "I've said that I'll listen to any offer for anybody. We want Roy Williams. That's the deal, whatever the terms are."
Broncos | B. Bailey contract update

The Associated Press reports the Denver Broncos signed free-agent LB Boss Bailey (Lions) to a five-year deal worth $17.5 million that includes $8 million in guarantees over the first two seasons. The total contract could be worth $20.5 million, due to escalators in the last two years of the deal.
not sure bailey's worth that big a contract. eagles are looking for a WR where ever they can find one.
