I agree - I hate it when they do that. However, I think the person they were referring to was Rousseau, not Karl. At least she's been around since the first season.

Not being antagonistic - just curious what made you think it was OK. Did that episode do anything to move
any of the plotlines forward? I thought it was 99-100% filler (the only exception being that we now know the island can influence events off the island).
