Artesia is 30 minutes away, then Roswell is 45 minutes beyond that. Beyond that is NOTHING until you hit Albuquerque (about 2.5 hours away from Roswell). If you go south / southwest, you better fill up in Carlsbad, cause there is absolutely nothing between here and El Paso, no gas station or nothing and that's like 2 hours and 15 minutes away.
So to answer your question, yes, we LITERALLY live in the middle of no where.
But hey, we are a tourist attraction!

So do you not live near any commercial areas at all? No shopping or dining?
