You're right, maybe Zorn knows something. But I can't imagine what that would be given that Hackett recently put up over 100 yards and a TD on our secondary in the playoff game against Seattle last year.
I mean how much can you "know" about a guy? At some point, doesn't performance say everything that needs to be said about a guy? I guess that's my thing, it's one thing if a coach is weighing in about an unproven commodity. But Hackett has taken over games before. As long as he's not a malcontent, then go get him.
Who knows, maybe he was a malcontent in Seattle. And if that's the case, good job in passing on him. Of course, at the same time, WTF are we doing passing on Hackett for being a malcontent and then turning around and signing Mathis? That makes no sense. So if you're not concerned about Mathis being trouble, you couldn't have been concerned about Hackett being trouble. You just flat out dropped the ball and didn't bring him in for a good price.
