It just depends on what we give up. If we are getting Taylor but only moving down 12 spots, that's a deal. If we lose the first round pick, then our next pick is OUR 2nd round pick, then I would agree. He doesn't have much left in the tank.
In case you haven't noticed, this guy has 36.5 sacks in his last 3 seasons and 77 sacks in his last 6 seasons...also, he has 139 tackles, 3 int's and 3 tds the past 3 seasons. He's more than just a DE, he's a run stuffer and an all around great player.

FYI, there has been some comments about the similarity to Bruce Smith, well when we got Smith, he was 37. Taylor will be 34 this year. When Smith was 34 and 35, he had 14 and 10 sacks respectively. So there is no reason we couldn't be pleased with Taylor's performance over the next 2 years. Taylor's got enough in the tank to get us 10+ sacks over the next two years, and we all know we haven't had good pass rushers over the years and we were thrilled by Carter's performance last year.
I do not know the specifics of Taylor's contract, but I have no doubt he would restructure with us if a deal was struck.
