What I believe he is saying is we have heard this story before, the justification of the picking of a player that is not a big need position, but he is picked any way because management is in love with skill players rather than a much less sexier pick but more of a need and core pick in linemen. In other words just because he was rated as a top pick on our board doesn't mean he was on anyone Else's. Jason Campbell is another example of that he was a mid to late 2nd round pick at best and we turned him into a #1.
As JLC pointed out it really doesn't matter how many WR's you have if you can't block or pass protect they will never see the ball, and he's right we had opportunity to address plenty of other needs especially with an ageing O-line and still get any WR they wanted, and could have thrown Calias Campbell or another D-lineman in with that group.
Can someone explain even if all these receivers turn out to be good NFL players [which I believe they will] how are we going to keep them all happy, there is only one ball to go around and 3 pro bowlers sitting in front of these kids?
