I agree with the pound idea. I foster greyhounds, actually, and help find them homes. We adopted a few in the past, but they live with my mother in law (she fell in love with them when we were staying at their house). I fully support saving animals, but in this case I want a purebred boxer. I had one when I was younger and he was more of a friend than a pet. I've never had a dog that was that personable, and I want to give that to my kids (and myself again as well).
