Re: Car Insurance Help

Allstate.

They're the cheapest from the quotes I got and have great reward programs and discounts, but from my experiences of people and deer hitting me, as well as a theft/vandalism in the ghetto of my car...they are the BEST when it comes to both customer service and fighting for you when the other person's insurance company won't pay up or admit fault. They once took legal action against the other person's company that wouldn't pay up after someone borrowed their customer's car and hit my wife when crossing over the middle of the road. Allstate paid me directly minus the deductible so we could get the car fixed, then took 6 months to go after the other company with a hearing in front of an arbitor that sided for us and forced the other company (Erie Insurance, WORST ever) to pay our deductible back. Allstate kept us updated weekly on their progress and never gave up.

Another time, some Hispanic lowlife bashed my car window in and stole the stereo along with all of the controls for heating and AC (during 100 degree weather in August). Allstate had a guy come to my house and fix the window in my driveway THE NEXT DAY, let me order a new (much better) stereo from Crutchfield and also had a Ford dealer replace all of the HVAC stuff. It was done quickly and didn't cost me a thing, in fact I came out better off since the stereo stolen was 4 years old and they paid me TWICE what I paid for it to shop for a new one.

You can't put a price on service like this, but...for me, their price is cheaper anyways. I even checked with Geiko and they would've been several hundred dollars more.

I'm married and over 25, but I pay $450 a YEAR for two cars to Allstate. Can't beat that.

(one of the cars is even red!)
