Looking back I would have made some different decisions perhaps, but I was 18 and thought I had it all figured out. But in case anyone is still reading, I can understand how football can stop being fun and how you could contemplate quitting.
Now, if I was a Titans fan I would be worried. I'd see visions of Barry Sanders or Robert Smith and think that the franchise basically rests on Vince at this point and wonder how committed the guy really is. I also remember, though, that I saw an ESPN piece on Edgerrin James after his first or second year in the league and he said some of the same things ... and he's kept on playing. I don't suspect much will come of it, but probably something Vince should have kept to himself.
