I have to agree with Matty here though. If you want them to be there, make it mandatory. If it's not mandatory, then they aren't violating any rules...maybe they are not getting any extra points with players/coaches/fans, but then they aren't playing for points are they...$$$

Because of the CBA with the NFLPA, I don't believe the team can make non-mandatory activities "mandatory".
Not worried about Landry. Here's what bugs me though: "Zorn said thus far he has been unable to reach corner Shawn Springs, who has not reported for this session of OTAs. Springs has been working out in Arizona and has told associates that his plan was to show up for the start of training camp but not voluntary workouts."
Springs is our # 1 CB and him not being there hurts team chemistry, he's missing important info Blache is putting in now, and he's not there to help mentor the young DBs. Very selfish. Springs' Dad was a player so he's been around the NFL his whole life, he's probably a bit jaded and is putting himself before the team. His cap number is about $ 7.4M, next year it rises to $ 8.4M. Between the cap number, his injuries, and age I wouldn't expect him in a Redskins uniform next year, so he really doesn't give a crap about non-mandatory stuff IMO. His situation and Rogers' injury are the reasons I was hoping for one of the top CBs in the draft if we couldn't get Merling. Hopefully we can grab a June 1 cut for some more depth.
