Where's the line here, and what gives you insight into which professionals are in it for the money and which others are in it for the glory of victory. Aren't both of those things somewhat selfish in their own manner?
This isn't the first time you have assumed a (incorrect, imo) dualism. Can't some players want to win and get paid? Why is it always one or the other?
Johnson has taken a lot of crap from the media, but whereas Javon Walker, Lance Briggs, and Jake Plummer tried to burn their bridges in order to force a trade, Johnson simply made his desires public, and let the Bengals decide where he would play in 2008. Distraction or not, that is the proper way to go about it, and I don't think this will be an issue again until next offseason.
If the Bengals do have a bounceback season, like many expect, seems like he will be very happy playing out the rest of his career in Cinci.

The Bengals might have a very good offense, but their defense is equally as bad. I dont see them having a bounce back season. They could even finish dead last in their own division.
