I'm not fine with a second rounder. That's your most valuable (cap-friendly) pick in the entire draft.
I can see the need for Jason Taylor here, but just because Daniels is out doesn't mean it makes anymore sense than it did yesterday. Taylor is an upgrade on Daniels obviously, but where are we going to be when we are ready to compete in a year or two: with Jason Taylor's contract, probably significantly less production, and without the player we would have gotten with that pick.
No one is giving more than a 4th for Taylor, so match the best offer they have, and if they want more, tell them we're interested in other options.
It's a buyer market, so the overcompensation angle is pretty "throwback" of us, and I don't mean that in a good way.
