While a lot of Denver backs have success, Portis took it to Terrell Davis levels. I see him having a chip on his shoulder this year, if the passing game clicks we could see something special this year. I'm buying a Portis premier jersey before the fall.
Agreed. Wise's column clearly showed that CP is miffed about some of the attention other backs in the league got, especially given that, as CP (rightfully) sees it, they didn't work half as hard as he did. He also revealed that he wasn't happy with the role he was asked to play in the Gibbs scheme, but, as the column makes clear, he still gave 100% for that role. So, yes, I think he's got a big chip on his shoulder and is as anxious to get on the field (or at least into a regular season game) as anyone in the league.
