The show is pretty humorous as long as you know that it's a complete farce. A friend of mine in the Marine Corps got back from his second tour in Iraq and said the show is an absolute joke if it's attempting to portray reality over there.

According to him, "Generation Kill" has about as much to do with the real war as Star Wars has to do with legitimate space travel.
