I can't believe I'm saying this, but a PFT post sums up my thoughts:

We’ve gotten plenty of e-mails from Redskins fans who believe that, on the weekend that the latest two D.C. Hall of Famers were enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the Redskins might have found their next potential bronze bust for Canton.

Rookie quarterback Colt Brennan, a Heisman hype recipient who slid to round six after getting picked apart in the Sugar Bowl, gaining lots of weight in the offseason, and needing hip surgery before the draft, completed nine of ten passes and threw for two touchdowns during the second half of the annual Hall of Fame game, leading the Redskins to a 30-16 win over the Colts.

But, folks, it was garbage time in a meaningless game that featured little or no actual game planning or other strategery. Though we’re not saying Brennan won’t someday become a stud quarterback (as we’ve learned over the past several years, certain sixth-round quarterbacks can do fairly good things), Brennan’s good run in glorified practice against a bunch of defensive players who’ll likely be looking for work a month from now isn’t cause for celebration.

Instead, Redskins fans should be far happier that starter Jason Campbell completed five of five passes for 61 yards and a touchdown in two shots at running the new offense that coach Jim Zorn has brought to town.
