Maybe you aren't old enough to remember a time when, if you got caught acting up as a kid, you'd get belted by the adult neighbor who caught you,
THEN you got dragged home to your irate parents who repeated the process.
Now everyone is afraid to even raise their voice to a kid in case they get sued for assault.
It may seem like a minor thing but it's why we have the lack of accountability we currently have, IMO.
