Giantone might not hold ST's skills in the high regard that many of us do, but he hasn't taken any cheap shots at Taylor. Giantone is just disagreeing with us, which is fine.
That said, I have never seen a guy hit like Taylor. I've seen Lynch, Lott, and others hit, but none of them hit quite like Taylor. Taylor would miss a lot of tackles because he was running at full speed, but that's also why he tended to blow people up when he made contact. You'd see a RB running 3-4 yards, a flash come in from the backfield and, all of the sudden, the forward progress would come to halt immediately. I think Brandon Jacobs said that he had never seen someone play as though they had multiple bodies (i.e., hitting without regard to one's own body).
