I thought the speech was very good. I thought ten ten year energy plan is genius, and a strong reason for someone who is undecided like me to give Obama my vote.

I also don't think "going through the budget line by line" is a very strong economic plan, or at least enough to eliminate the deficit AND fund renewable energy sources AND lower taxes on the middle class AND provide higher education to all.

I think the ONLY way Obama can keep all his campaign promises and not have lied is to 1) invest in offshore drilling, and 2) tax the shit out of the middle class (and big business, and the wealthy). Basically, the people like you and me. I think the lower class will see some tax breaks -- that can be fit in the budget, but he really would have to manipulate the definition of wealthy, and until I hear a hard tax proposal, I think it's safe to assume that if you consider yourself middle class, your taxes will skyrocket.
