I don't think that's the case at all. The preseason is for evaluating, and while you can get a glimpse of things in practice the only way to really evaluate players is during games. Some guys just make plays, hence the love affair with Colt Brennan.
I think Zorn is smart enough to get his playmakers the ball in a position to make plays. He wasn't able to do that in the last two preseason games with the 1st teamers, but I'm sure he will figure it out sooner rather than later.
